La base

Pendant ma journée Spa la semaine dernière, j’en ai profité pour me chouchouter avec un soin. Dès l’arrivée, la spécialiste beauté & bien-être m’a “disputé”. Non pas parce que j’avais du vernis que je n’avais pas enlevé, mais parce que je n’avais pas mis de base en-dessous. C’est vrai, j’ai remarqué à plusieurs reprises que l’ongle pouvait légèrement jaunir après l’application d’un vernis. Donc pour le protéger, il faut absolument le couvrir d’une base au préalable. Que ce soit pieds ou mains d’ailleurs.

Soucieuse du bien-être de mon corps jusqu’au bout des ongles, je suis directement allée acheter une base en même temps que le vernis corail que j’avais repéré. J’ai choisi la marque OPI pour sa qualité, même si c’est pas très green. Je préfère mettre un peu plus dans un vernis pour qu’il ait une bonne tenue plutôt qu’un vernis acheté à la va-vite et en mode économie qu’on finit par jeter après 3 applications (je parle de vécu). Au moins je sais que celui-ci restera longtemps sur l’ongle et sur l’étagère.

During my day at the Spa last week, I took the opportunity to give myself a beauty treat. As soon as I arrived, the beauty & wellness specialist “told me off”. Not because I hadn’t removed my nail polish, but because I hadn’t applied a base coat underneath. It’s true, I have noticed several times that the nail gets slightly yellow after the use of nail polish. So in order to protect it, one must absolutely cover it with a base coat beforehand. Both on hands or feet.

Concerned by the well-being of my body from top to toe, I immediately went to buy a base coat while getting the coral nail polish I had targeted. I chose the brand OPI for its quality, even though not very green. I prefer spending a little extra on a nail polish so that it looks good and holds longer rather than one bought in a hurry and from a cheaper brand which you end up throwing out after 3 uses (I’m talking from experience). At least I know this one will stay long on my nails and my shelf.

Eau Florale à la Rose Sanoflore

L’année dernière j’ai testé L’Eau Florale Sanoflore à la camomille. Produit chouchou sur le défilé Vanessa Bruno et de la rédac en chef & fondatrice de IntoTheGloss, Emily Weiss, je comprends pourquoi. L’Eau Florale à la rose (je préfère l’odeur à celle de la camomille) a rejoint ma salle de bain au tout début de l’année et je l’utilise TOUS LES JOURS.

J’adore parce qu’elle donne vraiment une note de fraîcheur à ma peau. Surtout qu’en ce moment j’utilise la crème Lierac Prescription qui dessèche un peu ma peau (du coup on m’a suggéré de ne l’utiliser que le matin et prendre une crème hydratante pour toutes peaux le soir). L’Eau Florale humidifie et donne une certaine brillance à la peau. Si je ne la met pas, il manque quelque chose….

A vaporiser sur le visage ou le corps après les étapes démaquillage et nettoyage et avant l’étape crème hydratante.

Last year I tried out the Sanoflore Camomille Water. It’s being used a lot on Vanessa Bruno’s shows and by the found and chief-editor at IntoTheGloss, Emily Weiss. I understand why. The Rose Water (I prefer this scent than the chamomile one) joined my bathroom in the beginning of the year and I use it EVERYDAY.

I love it because it really gives a fresh note to my skin. Especially because these days I’m using Lierac Prescription’s moisturizing and it’s drying my skin a bit out (so I was suggested to use it only in the morning and an all skin type moisturizer in the evening). The Rose Water moisten and gives a certain glow to the skin. If I don’t have it on me, something’s missing…

Spray on skin and body after the cleansing steps and before the moisturizing step.

Deluxe Ginger Soap from Tromborg

Ca fait un petit moment que je voulais essayer les produits de beauté Tromborg. Ils sont très populaires au Danemark et on les voit beaucoup dans la presse. Ces produits sont bio et de haute qualité. Merci Anne !

Je me lave tout le temps les mains et avec l’hiver froid qui est là, mes mains deviennent fatiguées et sèches. Donc il est très important d’utiliser un bon savon. Surtout que c’est de loin, le produit de beauté le plus utilisé. Aussi, je mets tout le temps mes gants et je m’hydrate beaucoup la peau avec L:A Bruket.

I have been wanting to try out these Tromborg beauty products for a long time. It’s really popular in Denmark and you see them a lot in the press. The products are organic and of high quality. Thank you Anne!

I wash my hands all the time and with the cold winter coming, my hands get very tired and dry, so it’s really important that the soap is good. Especially because it’s definitely the most used beauty product. In addition, I’m wearing my gloves all the time and moisturise a lot with L:A Bruket.

J’ai trouvé ce post que j’avais préparé il y a quelques temps sans le poster. Ce sont les photos de la boutique Diptyque rue des Francs Bourgeois in Paris et du livre qui retrace l’histoire de la marque. C’est aussi une bonne idée pour un cadeau de Noël ! I found this post that I had prepared some time ago but not posted. These are the pictures of the Diptyque shop rue des Francs Bourgeois in Paris and of the book which draws the brand’s story. It’s also a good idea for a Christmas present!

Les vendeurs m’ont gentiment prêté de livre pour que que je feuillette et que je découvre l’univers de Diptyque. The sellers kindly lent me this book so I can discover the story and spirit of Diptyque.
