The thé box is back home. No doubt that you know the monthly box concept. Otherwise the examples of the Very Vert Very Jolie(box), My Little Box and the first La thé Box can refresh your memory.
A real joy that brightens the first 3 winter months of this year: the discovery of new teas and herbal teas like the peppermint herbal tea from Harney & Sons which are fresh, organic and perfect for calming before going to bed. The advantage of the tea box other than the fact that you are discovering new brands, is that they both come in teabags and loose tea leaves. Even though it’s always better quality and taste with loose tea leaves (*), the teabags are super practical to bring in one’s thermos or to the office. Instead of drinking always the same tea from the cafeteria… I’m adding a (*) because some teabags are really well made and don’t compress the leaves. It’s notably the case of the small Pip’s tea boxes (the 3 pink ones on the pictures) which aren’t compressed and one teabag is largely sufficient for a teapot. Add a splash of lemon juice in the « cotton candy » and you are embarking on a light and fruity tasting. The Pip’s teas are created in a lab that was started by a group of young Belgian university graduates.
In the last boxes, I also appreciated the whole box of Chai Assam from YogiTea, the small marmelades from Bonne Maman and the Frères Dammann teas.

Un vrai égaiement des 3 mois d’hiver qui viennent de s’écouler, la découverte de nouveaux thés comme les tisanes à la menthe de Harney & Sons qui sont fraîches, bio et parfaites pour le soir. L’avantage de la thé box outre le fait de découvrir de nouvelles marques, est d’avoir des thés sous format sachet et en vrac. Même si c’est toujours plus quali et plus gustatif quand on a du thé en vrac (*), les sachets sont très pratiques pour emmener dans son thermos ou au bureau. Au lieu de toujours boire le même thé de la cafét… Je mets une (*) car certains sachets sont très bien faits et n’écrasent pas les feuilles. C’est notamment le cas des petites boîtes Pip’s tea (les 3 roses sur les photos) qui ne sont pas aplaties et un sachet suffit amplement pour une théière. Une petite touche de citron dans le « cotton candy » et on s’envole pour une dégustation fruitée et légère. Les thés Pip’s tea sont créés dans le laboratoire de ce qui était au départ un groupe d’amis universitaires belges.
Dans les dernières box, j’ai également beaucoup apprécié la boîte YogiTea au Chai Assam, les petites marmelades Bonne Maman et les thés Frères Dammann.
